Which Sessions Will You Attend?
This year we have new sessions and new speakers for you to enjoy. Here is a sampling of what will be offered.
Our keynote speaker to open our 35th annual conference will be Professional Development Coach, Author, Award-Winning Television and Radio Broadcaster, and Syracuse University Hall-of-Fame Scholar-Athlete Vera Jones. Her “Now I See” presentation is guaranteed to leave no dry eye and no untouched heart. Vera’s signature story ignites belief that for every piece of pain there’s a powerful piece of purpose. Chronicling the daunting emotional and physical challenges her son faced in being diagnosed with a brain tumor and blindness, Vera reveals critical lessons for resilience, change, and finding significance in the midst of adversity. She will also present a session on “Playing Through the Leadership Fouls in Your Organization.” This session is intended to explore specific leadership “fouls”. It stimulates conflict resolution, growth, and accountability in six areas of leadership.
Jason Brooks, CPA, returns to present his popular “Non-Profit Financial Reporting ASC 2016-14” course that will provide nonprofit organizations with information essential to preparing financial statements in accordance with ASC No. 2016-14.
Idris Johnson from Clockwise, will discuss “Growing Pains? Clockwise’ Integrated Solution” to help you with your payroll processes.
The ever-popular duo of attorneys Robert Joyce and Drake Maynard return to present “Protecting Your Organization, Your Board, and Yourself from Harassment Liability”.
New this year will be a Round Table session. Come join your peers and GMS Specialists for an open discussion on your choice of Board Reporting, Preparing for Audit and Documentation, or Payroll Reports.
The GMS Grand Closing Session is not to be missed as we answer any final questions you may have along with the opportunity to win great raffle prizes.
Additionally, you may schedule a one-on-one troubleshooting assistance and training appointment with a GMS Technical Support Specialist.
